Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese—The Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese is really more of a side dish. You can get it with a hotdog topped with the must-have Bertman Ball Park Mustard. Bertman, a Gold Medal winning mustard featured at the National Mustard Museum in Middleton, Wisconsin, has been sold at Cleveland games for at least 80 years. As for the Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese, I don’t think you should put Bertman mustard on it. That just sounds gross.
Poutine Dog and Egg/Bacon/Cheese Dog—The Poutine Dog consists of a hot dog in a bun, surrounded by french fries, cheese curds, and beef gravy. Poutine is a Canadian dish and Detroit is near enough to Canada that it’s probably a good idea to have something to entice those north-of-the-border folks to come on down to Detroit for a ballgame in between hockey seasons, eh?. The Egg/Bacon/Cheese dog is a hot dog topped with, wait for it, egg, bacon, and cheese. It’s like breakfast in a bun!
All-Star BBQ Dog—Kansas City is well known for their barbecue, with Arthur Bryant’s Legendary Barbecue being the oldest and most famous of them all. Oklahoma Joe’s Barbecue is another popular place, along with the more sophisticated Jack Stack Barbecue. At the ballpark, you can try the All-Star BBQ Dog that features pulled pork, cole slaw, pickle slices, and barbecue sauce.
Canteen Burger--Celebrity chef and TV host Andrew Zimmerman is a huge Twins fan who lives in Minnesota and has his own canteen in Target Field. Zimmerman is the well-known host of the Travel Channel series Bizarre Foods and he’s eaten some truly disgusting things over the years, but this isn’t one of those disgusting foods. His Canteen Burger is a blend of lamb and goat and served with crispy house-made chips. It sounds delicious if you like lamb and goat.
